About Us
Founded in 2020 by Ian & Brendon, Corked Supply Co is an environmentally-conscious, social impact yoga company based out of Squamish, BC Canada.
How it began...
A single passing comment after class one day caught our attention, "this mat is starting to smell!". Gross right? We thought there must be a better material than plastic and rubber to make them out of and why would a bunch of environmentally conscious people to be using toxic products anyway?
We started looking in to alternative materials and it became abundantly clear that cork is the ideal material. Recycled cork has all the traits you could dream of for yoga products.
Cork provides a superior non-slip surface for a better stretch. It contains a natural waxy substance that doesn't absorb water but actually improves grip when wet. Cork is also antimicrobial,
antibacterial and anti-fungal which protect against a build up of bacteria that make your things smell - Good riddance!
What we discovered solidified our mission. We had to start a boutique recycled cork yoga products brand.
Now that we were committed we took some to sit down and discuss our company values and what we envisioned for our new passion project. Cue our partnership with Feed Children Everywhere & our promise to provide 10 meals for every item sold. To solidify the commitment Ian & Brendon purchased 5000 meals on behalf of Corked Supply Co. #Amazing!
Well fast forward a few months and a lot of research and development & we can proudly present to you what is now Corked Supply Co.
